Because old, rich white men STILL make the decisions that affect your daily life and your body.

Because women STILL get paid 70 cents to a man's dollar (even at state universities).

Because teenagers, the mentally ill and retarded are STILL put to death by the state.

Because they are STILL drilling for oil in Alaska.

Come on guys, because Microsoft fucking won in federal court.

If you don't vote, you have no right to complain about the system and the decisions that that system makes. You have no right to complain when we begin a full-scale, long-term war in Iraq, or when a local official wants to put a waste processing plant in your backyard.

My AP Biology teacher, Mr. Schwille, always used to say, "If you aren't part of the solution, you are part of the problem." And if your refusal to vote is some sort of protest, it's falling on deaf ears, because the people in power couldn't give a shit about your non-voting agenda.
